The Central Library provides information catering for the learning community of VISTAS by training them to access various subscribed Online Resources through Digital Knowledge Resource Centre. The Library Subscribes 18 Databases for the Students, Research Scholars and Faculties to fulfill their Knowledge thirst on research work.
Access over 1,41,717 + E-Books covering Engineering Technology, Management Studies, Law, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Language, Literature, Basic Sciences, Computer Science, Communication, etc., Top publishers with DASH ability to add content to platform, content update frequency monthly & accessible using ipad, iphone, ipod touch and Android Devices.

Our Library is an Associate member of the Madras Library Network (MALIBNET), Chennai which is the consortium of more than 50 libraries in the city like IIT, CLRI, ANNA UNIVERSITY, MADRAS UNIVERSITY, etc. Our Library users are using other nearby libraries for Books & Periodical Reference through MALIBNET Cards.
DELNET has been actively engaged with the compilation of various Union Catalogues of the resources available in member-libraries. It has already created the Union Catalogue of Books,Union List of Current Periodicals, Union Catalogue of Periodicals,CD-ROM Database,Database of Indian Specialists, Database of Periodical Articles, Union List of Video Recordings, Urdu Manuscripts' Database, Database of Theses and Dissertations, sample databases of language publications using GIST technology and several other databases. The data is being updated in these databases and is growing rapidly. All the DELNET databases have been resident on DELSIS, an in-house software developed on BASISPlus, an RDBMS, the product of Information Dimensions Inc. of USA which has been provided to DELNET courtesy National Informatics Centre,NewDelhi. DELNET provides an array of facilities. DELNET'S relentless efforts in resource sharing have proved extremely effective. It has contributed a lot towards the modernisation of libraries in India.
VELS KNOWLEDGE RESOURCE CENTRE has been established for enabling the students to acquire additional knowledge through online courses like offered by agencies like EDX, TED, NPTEL, KHAN ACADEMY, MIT, COURSERA etc.,

The Shodhganga@INFLIBNET Centre provides a platform for research students to deposit their Ph.D. theses and make it available to the entire scholarly community in open access. The repository has the ability to capture, index, store, disseminate and preserve ETDs submitted by the researchers.
Our Central Library is an Institutional Member of National Digital Library, a Ministry of Human Resource Development under its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology has initiated this pilot project to develop a framework of virtual repository of learning resources with a single-window search facility. Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find out the right resource with least effort and in minimum time.The Library encorages the students and faculties to enroll their details under its Institutional Membership Login. Currently there are more than 600 members are already enrolled and utilising this facility.

Law Finder is based on a full text retrieval system and has all the frills of a modern day search engine. It was launched in the year 2005. Law Finder works like an electronic law reporter and updates every month with latest and old cases. Every updation adds over 6000 to 7000 new and old cases from over 80 law journals. The acts and rules section contains over 1700 Bare Acts and Rules.
